| Barefeet International is a non-profit organisation focusing on children and youth. The organisation works directly with orphans and other vulnerable children and their communities, with the hope of improving the quality of life of disadvantaged children.
The founders of Barefeet International are currently working on registering the organisation as a non-profit charitable organisation in Australia, Ireland, Canada and the USA.

The aims and objectives for which the organisation was formed include:

(a)

To raise funds in order to support children throughout the world to have equal opportunities in life.

(b)
|
To identify the specific needs of communities that are not being met by other development organisations and work with communities to establish projects that will meet those needs.

(c)
|
Establish development projects to meet the needs of communities and individuals related, but not limited to, the care of orphaned and other vulnerable children, improved quality and quantity of education, health care and health promotion, including the eradication of HIV and the support of those suffering from HIV and/or AIDS.

To develop, establish and maintain small business projects in developing countries with the intention of producing excess income to use for the purpose of providing funding, support and grants to partner development organisations, communities or individuals.

To provide training, to set an example, and to encourage development organisations and individuals to focus on self-sustainable income generation within their communities, rather than relying on aid as a way of sustaining their projects.

(f)
|
To provide international volunteers with safe, supported and sustainable volunteer opportunities in developing countries.
|
|
(g)
|
To set up education and training programs in Australia, Canada, USA, UK, Ireland and other countries with the intention of promoting global awareness about social issues within developing countries, and to promote international awareness of local organisations.
