About Us

Barefeet International is an Australian non-profit organisation focusing on children and youth.

The organisation works directly with orphans and other vulnerable children and their communities in developing countries, with the hope of improving the quality of life of disadvantaged children.

The organisation has two main focuses:

1.To support communities to meet the daily needs of orphaned and other vulnerable children and youth.

2.To empower communities and development organisations by assisting and supporting them to focus on sustainable funding sources and attaining self-sufficiency.

What’s Different About Barefeet International?

•Barefeet is one of very few Australian organisations focusing its work in Africa.

•All of our staff based in Australia are voluntary, and there are very few administrative costs, meaning that almost all of what you donate goes directly towards helping the children who need it the most.

•Barefeet International is a non-religious and non-political, grass roots organization, and doesn’t discriminate against any child in need.

•Barefeet has a strong belief in creating sustainable and long-term solutions to development issues, and focuses much of its work on teaching individuals and organisations methods for self-sustainable projects.

Barefeet exists now with the hope that in the future organisations such as this won’t have to exist.
