Jo O'Sullivan

Joanne began her volunteer work in Mwanza Tanzania in November 2005. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and is currently undertaking a Masters of International Development Studies by distance education. Joanne lived in Mwanza & Freetown (Sierre Leone) from November 2005 to November 2008.  Email

Vince Polito

Vince studied with Jo at university and after travelling extensively is back there undertaking a PhD in cognitive science. He is keenly involved with human rights and social justice groups and excited by the potential of Barefeet to make a difference to communities in Tanzania and beyond. Email

Maja Frolich

Maja came to Australia from Bosnia with her family in 2002. She studied Social Sciences at Macquarie University and now works as a policy/project officer for various government departments. She likes strategic and forward thinking and is happy to be involved in a project like Barefeet where these skills can be put to use. She is also a passionate traveller and loves seeing children smile. Email

Kerrie O'Sullivan

Older sister of Joanne, Kerrie has been working in the community service sector for 11 years after graduating with a Bachelor of Education (Habilitation). Kerrie has travelled extensively and has seen first hand the poverty and injustice in the world. Kerrie is passionate about community development and feels that Barefeet International is unique in its approach to supporting populations in third world countries to be sustainable. Email

Michelle O'Sullivan

Sister of founder, Joanne O’Sullivan, Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2008. Michelle visited Watoto Wa Africa Organisation in Mwanza, Tanzania for 4 weeks in December 2007, and spent 4 months from Dec 2008 - March 2009 in Mwanza assisting at local orphanages. Michelle has thus far assisted Watoto Wa Africa Orphanage by raising over $30,000 in her local community. Email
