Our Objectives:
The aims and objectives for which the organisation was formed include:-
(a) To develop relationships with partner organisations in developing countries whose primary focus is supporting children through building sustainable communities.
(b) To work with partner organisations in developing strategies which enable them to identify and communicate the needs of their community.
(c) To raise funds to use for the purpose of providing funding, support and grants to partner development organisations.
(d) To set up education and training programs in Australia with the intention of promoting global awareness about social issues within developing countries, and to promote international awareness of local organisations.
Our Goals:
1. Vulnerable children and youth are supported with the basic necessities, love and emotional support which enable them to have opportunities equal to others in their community.
2. Specific needs of developing communities that are not being met by other development organisations are identified and met.
3. Crucial relationships with partner organisations in developing countries and Australia are developed to the benefit of the local communities.
4. Partner organisations and local communities are sustainable and self-sufficient.
5. Funding of Barefeet International is secure. Growth and diversification of the funding base provide for stability of the organisation and our partners for the long term.
6. Global awareness about social issues within developing countries is raised through educational and training programs.
7. Local organisations within developing communities who are working on a grass roots level are promoted
